Reducing Valve with desuperheater

  • Reducing valves with a desuperheater are deployed for reducing pressure while simultaneously desuperheating the steam.
  • The injection of cooling water is effected via a downstream nozzle in the low pressure area of the system (water nozzle).
  • To improve the water atomisation at low loads, the valves can be equipped with nozzles for atomisation by motive steam.
In BOMAFA reducing valves of this type, the supply of motive steam to the water nozzle is effected internally.

Further Advantages

  • The shape of the valve body and the layout of their interior components are designed and manufactured according to the customer’s specification.
  • Our partnership with asfa-Antriebssysteme GmbH enables us to coordinate optimal compatibility between actuators and valves.
  • The design can be optionally modified to allow for operation with different directions of flow (flow to open or flow to close).
