Center-Flow Injection

  • The BOMAFA Center-Flow desuperheater consists of a cooling unit and a separate water valve.
  • The cooler is flanged to both the pipe and the water valve.
  • The water is injected centrally into the steam flow with special nozzles. Thus, a utilization of the highest flow velocity takes place.
Field of application

The cooler is optimized for downstream use at high temperatures and flow rates. In the temperature range from above 50°C over saturated steam the best results are achieved.

The advantages of the desuperheater at a glance

  • 360° of Flexibility. During construction, any angle of the water supply pipe can be taken into account.
  • Use of high-tech nozzles. The unit's control nozzles ensure an optimal and rapid mixing of water and steam.
  • Central injection. The water injection is centrally located in the steam flow at highest steam velocity.
  • Using high quality materials. This guarantees a long life of the desuperheater.
  • Flanged. Service work can be done very quickly and effectively. There are no additional weldings required.
  • The desuperheating is controlled solely by the water valve.
  • Economically. The modular design provides a cost-effective operation over the entire lifespan of the product.
